Eligibility

Who Can Apply?

Our program is open to any female who is returning to the community from incarceration and is seeking structured transitional housing support. We welcome women at all stages of their reentry journey who are committed to personal growth and program compliance.

We accept residents at any supervision level, including probation, parole, and other forms of community supervision. Our staff works collaboratively with probation officers, parole officers, and the Florida Department of Corrections to support compliance.

No. Byrd's Nest is not court-ordered housing. Residents choose to participate in our program as part of their reentry plan. However, we do work with courts, probation/parole officers, and the Department of Corrections to support residents in meeting their supervision requirements.

About Our Program

Yes. Byrd's Nest is a faith-based program. Our approach integrates spiritual principles with practical support for reentry. While we welcome women of all backgrounds and beliefs, residents should be open to participating in a program guided by faith-based values.

Length of stay varies based on individual circumstances, progress in the program, and reentry goals. Our focus is on helping residents achieve stability and self-sufficiency, which typically requires a minimum commitment. Specific duration will be discussed during the intake process.

Our program provides:

  • Safe, structured transitional housing
  • Life skills development programming
  • Employment and resource referrals
  • Compliance support for supervision requirements
